emergency blocade: 1-05-07
An emergency blocade has been formed by Dine' elders and supporters to stop the building of another
coal fired power plant on traditional Dine' territory in New Mexico. The proposed coal fired power plant is
called the Desert Rock Energy Project.
Now is the time to spread the word about this blocade to help raise consciousness about the issues of
environmental racism and the continuing US sponsored genocide against indigenous pepole. In addition
funds need to be raised for the blocade action and the resulting legal costs that will be needed in the
aftermath of any possible action that may be taken by State forces to repress the indigenous defenders of
Turtle Island.
